Lipton Pepper Steak
Lipton Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. boneless steak, 2 tbsp. shortening, 1 envelope lipton onion soup mix, 2 c. water and 2 green peppers, cut in strips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cut meat into thin strips 2 inches long.
In a large skillet, heat shortening and brown meat, turning frequently.
Stir in soup mix and water.
Cover.
Simmer 30 minutes.
Stir in peppers and simmer 10 more minutes or until meat is done.
Blend cornstarch with water; stir into skillet.
Cook while stirring until thickened.
This is good served with rice.
Serves 4 to 6.
