Lentil Soup(Shonaba' Addas)
Lentil Soup(Shonaba' Addas) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. lentils, 7 c. water, 1 large onion, chopped, 1 tbsp. flour and 1/4 c. olive oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Place washed lentils and chopped onion in water and simmer, covered, for one hour.
Mix oil, flour, salt and spices in a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of soup to mixture and stir well.
Pour the mixture into the soup and let simmer until the lentils are well cooked. Add lemon juice and simmer five more minutes.
If desired, garnish with lemon slices.
Serves 6.
