Joan'S Christmas Bake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 to 3 slices bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes, 1 lb. bulk sausage (jimmy dean type), cooked, 6 eggs, 2 c. milk and 1/2 tsp. mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Place bread cubes in shallow baking dish.
Top with cooked sausage (lumps broken up) and grated cheese.
For a special treat, make this with Cracker Barrel New York Cheddar.
This is a flexible recipe.
I have used as many as 10 to 12 eggs, more milk, etc., and up to 1 pound of sausage.
I think it tastes better with more cheese.
