Italian Spaghetti Sauce
Italian Spaghetti Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. ground chuck, 4 large carrots, diced, 6 stalks celery (ribs only), diced celery leaves from largest stalks of celery, chopped fine and 1 green pepper, chopped or diced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Brown hamburger.
Drain grease.
Put in all vegetables plus basil and parsley.
Cook for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes.
Then pour in tomato juice and tomato paste.
Add 1 large (46 ounces) can of water.
Simmer 5 hours, stirring every 20 minutes on low flame. Keep covered until it starts cooking good.
Add water as needed as it cooks.
