Italian Hunters Stew
Italian Hunters Stew is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 lb. meat, cut into 2 inch pieces, 3 tbsp. oil, 2 cloves garlic or garlic powder, 2 16 oz. cans of stewed tomatoes and 1 6 oz. can of tomato paste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Heat oil, brown meat.
Add garlic and onions, saute well, turning often.
Stir in tomatoes, paste, flour, salt, chili powder, oregano and parsley.
Add 2 c. water and simmer covered 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Skim off fat.
Add carrots and simmer until they are tender; cook ziti, add to stew and serve with cheese on top.
