Hamburger-Pasta Casserole
Hamburger-Pasta Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 can tomatoes (16 oz. size), 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste, 1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese and 1/2 lb. cooked pasta, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Saute meat until no longer pink.
(Sliced onions can be added, if desired.)
Add tomatoes and tomato paste; let bubble.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
(Mushrooms can be added at this point.) Place in casserole in following order: a layer of cooked pasta; layer of meat sauce; layer of cheese, sliced.
Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with cheese.
Place Pepperidge Farm stuffing on top and dot with butter.
Bake at 350Β° for about 40 minutes, or until cheese bubbles.
Serves 8.
