Granny Anderson's Doughnuts
Granny Anderson'S Doughnuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 eggs, 3/4 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. nutmeg, ginger and salt, 1 tbsp. shortening and 1 c. sour milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Measure 1 1/2 cups of flour first.
Mix all dry ingredients and set aside remaining flour.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, then slowly add more flour to the dough mix.
Turn out onto well-floured surface and roll and cut doughnuts.
Fry 2 to 3 minutes.
Drain on paper towels.
Serve sugared or plain. Yields 2 dozen.
