Grandma Nell'S Sour Cream Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. lard or crisco, 4 eggs, 1 c. cream and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream sugar and lard; add eggs and mix.
Add cream (to sour, leave out overnight or add 1 teaspoon lemon juice).
Add vanilla; add soda, powder and flour.
Roll out and cut out choice of cookies.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
Do not brown on bottom.
If brown, cooked too long.
