German Upside-Down Cake
German Upside-Down Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shredded coconut, 1 c. chopped pecans, 1 box german chocolate cake mix, 1/2 c. margarine and 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Combine coconut and nuts and spread in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Prepare cake mix by package directions.
Carefully pour this over the coconut-pecan mixture.
In a saucepan, heat the margarine and cream cheese until mixture is melted.
Stir in sugar.
Mix well and spoon over cake batter.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
Do not cut until cooled.
