German Delight
German Delight is a frozen German chocolate cream pie with melted sweet chocolate, cream cheese, whipped topping, and a chocolate crumb crust. The filling freezes firm enough to slice, then softens slightly at the table for a creamy, truffle-like dessert.
Melt all but 3 squares of the chocolate with 1/4 cup milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
Beat the softened cream cheese with the remaining milk until creamy, then blend in the melted chocolate.
Fold in the whipped topping until the filling is smooth and evenly colored.
Spoon the filling into the chocolate crumb crust and freeze until firm.
Before serving, let the pie stand 30 minutes, then melt the reserved chocolate and drizzle it over the top.
