Dumplings
Dumplings is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 4 tbsp. shortening and 2/3 c. sweet milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine flour and salt; cut in shortening.
Add enough milk to make stiff dough. Roll very thin and cut into squares. Drop dumplings a few at the time into boiling broth. Sprinkle with black pepper.
When broth boils over the dumplings, add more dumplings.
Repeat all the dough is used.
10 to 15 minutes.
These are good in ham broth, potato broth, chicken broth or neck bone broth or any kind of broth.
Boil something and throw some dumplin's in the broth!
