Deep Dish Sugar-Free Apple Pie
Deep Dish Sugar-Free Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pie crusts, 10 to 12 apples, peeled, cored and cut into slices, 1 1/2 tbsp. tapioca, 1 tbsp. sweet 'n low (equal or any sugar substitute) and 1 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 425°.
Arrange 1 layer of apples in bottom of crust.
Sprinkle with tapioca, Sweet 'N Low and cinnamon.
Arrange second layer of apples and repeat sprinkling as on first layer (same amounts).
Pour in unsweetened apple juice.
Cover with second crust, cutting slits in top to release steam.
Bake for 15 minutes at 425°, then reduce heat to 375° and bake for an additional 45 minutes.
