Creamy Split Pea Soup
Creamy Split Pea Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. fully cooked smoked kielbasa or polish sausage, thinly sliced, 3 cans (11 1/2 oz. each) condensed pea soup with ham and bacon, 2 c. water, 2 tbsp. prepared mustard and 1 1/2 c. half and half, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cook and stir kielbasa in 3-quart saucepan over medium heat about 5 minutes; drain.
Stir in soup, water and mustard.
Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Stir in half and half, curry powder and pimentos; heat just until hot, about 5 minutes. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese if desired.
