Corn and Shrimp Chowder
Corn And Shrimp Chowder is an impressive dinner. Made with 8 oz. salt pork, sliced, 2 onions, chopped, 1/2 c. chopped celery and tops, 3 tbsp. chopped green pepper and 3 tbsp. finely diced carrot, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Fry pork until crisp.
Remove from grease and pour off all but 3 tablespoons.
Add next 5 ingredients and cook 5 minutes.
Blend in flour.
Add water and potatoes.
Bring to a boil and simmer 15 minutes.
Add corn, milk and shrimp.
Heat well, but do not boil as milk will curdle.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add pork.
