Cream together sugar and Crisco; add eggs, one at a time, mixing thoroughly.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
Add flavoring.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until tested done, "Do not open oven for at least 1 hour."
Cake will most likely fall if you do.
