Cold Oven Pound Cake
Cold Oven Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks butter, 1/2 c. crisco, 3 c. sugar, 5 eggs and 3 c. plain flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cream butter and Crisco together.
To butter and Crisco, add sugar until creamed.
Add eggs, one at a time and beat well. Alternately, add flour, milk and water.
Beat well.
Pour in floured and greased tube pan.
Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Bake at 325° for 30 minutes longer.
Put pan in cold oven; set temperature and do not open door while baking.
