Christmas Ketchup
Christmas Ketchup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (16 oz.) can jellied cranberry sauce (can use whole berry sauce), 3/4 c. sugar, 1/4 c. white vinegar, 1 tbsp. minced fresh ginger and 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine first 7 ingredients in a medium saucepan.
Stir together flour and water until smooth.
Add to cranberry mixture. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
Remove from heat and cool.
Store ketchup in an airtight container in refrigerator. Serve with cream cheese and crackers.
Pour over cream cheese. Yield
2 1/4 cups.
