Chinese Style Fried Rice
Chinese Style Fried Rice is an moderately easy Chinese dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with c instant rice, c water, egg, butter and c chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In a small saucepan, bring 1 1/4 c water to a boil.
Stir in rice and remove from heat.
Cover and let stand 5 minutes. Meanwhile using a 10 in skillet, cook egg (slightly beaten) in 3 Tbsp, butter.
Add 1/3 c chopped onion and the rice.
Saute, stirring over medium heat until mixture slightly browned.
Mix 1/4 c water with 2 to 3 Tbsp soy sauce and stir into the rice.
Makes 4 servings.
