In the bottom of a buttered 2-quart casserole, arrange the chili peppers, cut into pieces, about 2 inches square.
Cut the cheese into long fingers and arrange in an even layer over chili peppers.
Beat eggs slightly, then beat in milk, flour and salt; pour over cheese.
Bake in a moderate oven (350Β°) for 45 to 50 minutes or until custard is set.
