Made with 1 c. chopped onions, 1 tbsp. shortening, 1 1/2 c. ripe or well drained canned tomatoes, 1 lb. american cheese, grated and 4 to 5 oz. canned green chilies, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Saute onions in shortening until transparent.
Add tomatoes, chilies, salt and pepper to onions.
Simmer slowly until well blended.
Add cheese to hot sauce.
