Chili
Chili is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 lb. sausage, 3 sticks celery, 2 medium carrots and 3 medium onions, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Dice onions, carrots, peppers and celery; cook mixture in oil with 1 to 1/4 ratio of oil/olive oil (1/4 the amount of olive oil versus vegetable oil).
Cook until there is no crunch to the onions.
Mix the 28-ounce can of tomatoes with the mixer, leaving some chunks to tomatoes.
Pour the small can of tomatoes in the blender.
Add the spices; blend this until smooth.
Put the mixture in a pan; cook for 4 1/2 minutes.
Cook the meats until done.
Mix the tomato mixture, sauce and meat together; simmer for 22 minutes.
Taste for saltiness and spice heat.
If it is not spicy enough, put in jalapeΓ±o sauce or cayenne pepper until it satisfies your taste.
