Chickpea Sesame Dip
Chickpea Sesame Dip is an moderately easy snack you can prepare in just 44 minutes. Made with (16 oz.) can drained chickpeas (reserve the liquid), garlic, chopped coarse, . salt or to taste, c. lemon juice or to taste and c. sesame paste (be sure to stir this stuff before you use it because it will separate into its parts), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In food processor, purΓ©e chickpeas, 1/4 cup reserved liquid, the garlic, salt and lemon juice.
Add sesame paste; whirl or stir until smooth and creamy, adding more liquid, salt and lemon juice if needed.
Refrigerate, covered, at least overnight to develop flavors.
To serve, mound in shallow bowl; sprinkle with parsley. Makes about 2 cups.
