Chicken Salad
Chicken Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 cans white meat chicken in water (hormel, swanson, etc.), 1 small onion, chopped, 3 eggs, hard-boiled and shredded, 1 small green pepper, chopped and 1 pkg. slivered almonds, toasted in oven, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Drain chicken well and flake into bowl.
Add onion, eggs, green pepper and pickles (to individual taste).
Add enough mayonnaise to hold together.
Taste and salt if needed.
Chill overnight to allow flavors to marry.
Just before serving, add almonds and mix well.
Do not add almonds sooner, as they will soften.
