Preheat oven to 350Β°. Melt margarine over low heat in a 2-quart saucepan. Remove from heat.
Stir in sugar, then stir in egg.
Stir in flour, salt, vanilla and pecans. Spread in well-greased
(with margarine) square pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch). Bake minutes.
Not overbake. Cut into bars after it has cooled.
