Buns is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. boiling water, 2 tsp. salt, 2 c. sugar, 1 c. lard and 2 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1 c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Mix in the evening.

Boil the water, salt and sugar for 5 minutes.

Add lard and cool. Add 4 cups flour and mix. Add yeast and the rest of the flour. Turn out on floured board and knead. Let rise until double. With hands, shape into 2-inch buns.

Place a little apart on greased cookie sheets and let rise overnight. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 400Β°.

Makes about 80 buns.
