Brunch Casserole #1 is an easy dinner. Made with 6 slices bread, buttered, 1 lb. ground pork sausage, 8 eggs (large), 1/2 c. sour cream and 1/2 lb. or more shredded cheddar cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan or dish and place bread, buttered side down, in dish.
Cook sausage; drain off excess fat, then crumble over bread slices.
Beat eggs and sour cream.
Pour over sausage; sprinkle cheese over top.
Cover with foil and refrigerate 6 to 8 hours.
Uncover and bake in 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes or in 325° oven if a glass pan.
