Barbecued Spareribs

Place spareribs in bottom of heavy roaster.
Cover with layer of sliced onion.
Mix rest of ingredients to make barbecue sauce. Pour over top.
Repeat layers.
Cover and bake at 325Β° until meat is tender, about 2 to 2 1/2 hours according to thickness of spareribs.
Remove to platter and serve while hot.
