Baklava
Baklava is an easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. phyllo, thawed, 1 lb. butter, melted, 1 lb. walnuts, finely chopped, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix together walnuts, sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl.
Brush appropriate size glass pan (11 x 14-inch) with melted butter.
Layer 1/4 phyllo sheets 1 by 1 brushing with butter between each sheet.
Add 1/3 nut mixture.
Repeat with phyllo, creating 2 more layers.
Top with remaining 1/4 of phyllo sheets.
Cut into diamonds; pour any remaining butter over the top.
Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 325Β°. Remove and cool slightly (5 minutes).
