Marinate water chestnuts in soy sauce for 30 minutes.
Roll in brown sugar.
Wrap in bacon pieces.
Secure each with a toothpick. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes in broiler pan so chestnuts will not sit in grease.
Can be done ahead and reheated for 5 minutes at 350° before serving.
