Aunt Rose's Cherry Coffee Cake
Aunt Rose'S Cherry Coffee Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. flour, 3 tsp. baking powder, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 lb. butter (2 sticks) and 1 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and butter with a fork to make coarse crumbs.
Set aside 1 cup of crumbs.
In a separate bowl, mix well the eggs, milk and vanilla.
Mix in dry crumbs with a fork.
Pour into a greased 12 x 18-inch pan.
Top with cherries (pie filling), then the reserved cup of crumbs. Sprinkle with cinnamon, brown sugar and walnuts.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 minutes.
Pour on syrup and bake 10 minutes more.
