Asparagus Casserole
Asparagus Casserole is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 2 hours 22 minutes. Made with (no. 2) can asparagus spears, hard-boiled eggs, (4 oz.) can pimentos, (5 oz.) can mushrooms and c. bread crumbs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt butter in heavy saucepan.
Mix in flour, salt and pepper.
Add grated cheese and as it begins to melt; add milk. Cook until thick.
Place bread crumbs in bottom of casserole.
Put remaining ingredients layers, beginning with asparagus, sliced eggs, pimentos, mushrooms, then pour over part sauce.
Make another layer and top with crumbs. Bake at 350Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
