Annette's Fried Pies
Annette'S Fried Pies is an easy dinner. Made with 2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. milk, 1/2 c. wesson oil and 2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour or self-rising flour (omit salt), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Mix flour and salt.
Pour Wesson oil and milk into one measuring cup.
Don't stir.
Add all at once to the flour.
Stir until mixed.
Shape into balls.
Place balls between two 12-inch squares of waxed paper.
(Dampen table top to keep from slipping.) Roll 1/8-inch thick.
Peel off top paper.
Cut into 5-inch squares or circles.
Place a large spoonful of filling on each circle. Fold over filling to make a half circle.
Seal edges with a fork dipped in flour.
Fry 4 or 5 minutes in 1-inch of oil.
