Melt together butter or margarine and unsweetened chocolate. Blend sugar into eggs.

Add dry ingredients to egg, sugar and vanilla mixture.

Pour in melted butter and chocolate.

Mix all together and add chopped walnuts or pecans at this time.

May need to add more flour if mixture is too runny.

Want it somewhat stiff, but too much flour will make cookies dry.

Chill overnight, covered.

Roll in balls and roll in powdered sugar before baking.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350Β°.

(I usually double this recipe when I make it.)
