Velma's Soup Roast
Velma'S Soup Roast is an easy dinner. Made with 1 (3 lb.) round or chuck steak, cut 2 inches thick, 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix and 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cover bottom of a roasting pan with foil, leaving generous overlap.
Sprinkle half of the package of onion soup mix over the foil and half of the can of mushroom soup.
Lay meat on top and sprinkle remaining dry soup and mushroom soup on top of meat.
Fold foil over top and seal airtight.
Bake in 300Β° oven for 3 hours or until meat is done.
This beef makes its own gravy.
I also bake it in a covered casserole dish.
