Vegetarian Chili with Rice
Vegetarian Chili With Rice is an impressive soup you can prepare in just 56 minutes. Made with (15 1/2 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained, (15 1/2 oz.) can great northern beans, drained, (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained), cut up, c. green pepper, chopped and c. onion, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Combine kidney beans, Northern beans, undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, pepper, onion, chili powder, sugar, basil, garlic and water in a large saucepan.
Bring to boiling and reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Top each serving with 1/2 cup rice.
