Vegetable Soup
Vegetable Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. lean top rib or flanken, 1 soup bone, 2/3 c. split peas, 4 qt. cold water and 1 c. diced onions, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Place meat and soup bone in large pot with salt, peas, barley and water.
Bring to a boil.
Add all of the remaining ingredients.
Continue cooking on low heat.
Season to taste. Remove meat when done and reheat.
Cook approximately 4 hours.
