Tostada Salad
Tostada Salad is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, 1 small onion, chopped, 1 clove garlic, minced, 1 to 2 tsp. chili powder and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
In skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic until brown.
Drain well; add chili powder, salt and chilies.
Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
In heavy skillet, heat 1/4 inch oil.
Fry tortillas one at a time.
Drain on paper towels.
Place tortillas on plates; divide ingredients equally.
Layer in following order
Beef mixture, tomato, lettuce and cheese.
Garnish as desired.
