Made with 1 (8 1/4 oz.) can pineapple slices, 1 tbsp. catsup, 1/8 tsp. garlic powder, 1/4 c. finely chopped onion and 1 1/2 c. rice chex cereal, crushed into 1/2 c. cereal, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Drain pineapple, reserving juice.

In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, catsup and 1 tablespoon pineapple juice.

Remove 3 tablespoons of mixture.

Set aside.

To remainder, add marjoram, garlic powder and ginger.

Blend well.

Add onion, ground beef and Chex crumbs.

Mix thoroughly.

Shape into 4 patties.

Add 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar to reserved soy sauce mixture.

Grill or broil to desired doneness, brushing with reserved sauce. Meanwhile, saute pineapple slices in remaining brown sugar and butter.

Serve atop burgers.

Serves 4.
