Whip butter, sugar and syrup together.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix into a nice dough.
Let it rest in the refrigerator until the next day.
Roll out the dough thin (3 mm) and cut out hearts, animals, etc. and set on a buttered surface. Place on baking sheets and bake at 175Β°C for 7 to 10 minutes, or until they have a nice brown color.
You can decorate with sugar icing if desired.
