Sugar-Free Orange Applesauce Tea Bread
Sugar-Free Orange Applesauce Tea Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. unsweetened applesauce, 1 heaped tsp. baking soda, juice and grated zest of 1 orange, 1 3/4 c. unbleached flour and 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In large bowl, combine applesauce and baking soda.
Stir in orange juice and zest, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, raisins and melted margarine.
Blend well. Spread the batter in a 9 1/2 x 5-inch loaf pan, lightly sprayed with cooking spray.
Bake 40 minutes to golden brown.
Cool in pan 5 minutes.
Transfer to wire rack to cool.
Slice 1/2-inch slices. To store, wrap slices individually and freeze.
