Strawberry Flumery
Strawberry Flumery is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 26 minutes. Made with c. sugar, c. cornstarch, . salt, c. milk and egg yolk, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Combine in a saucepan, 1/2 cup sugar, cornstarch, salt and milk (a wire whisk works great).
Cook and stir until it boils and thickens.
Remove from heat.
Stir about a cup of warmed ingredients into the egg yolk in a separate bowl.
Add this mixture back into saucepan with the hot mixture.
Return to stove and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
Stir in vanilla and pour into a dish.
Chill.
Serve with strawberries on top.
