Reserve 1/2 cup of this mixture topping.
Now add to the first mixture the buttermilk, soda, baking powder and egg.
Mix batter well and pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Spread over batter 1/2 cup of reserved topping which 1/2 cup of chopped nuts may be added. Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
