Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In large bowl beat together the shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla until creamy.
In separate bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda.
Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream; blend well.
Drop by teaspoon 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
