Scrumptious Double Chocolate Brownies
Scrumptious Double Chocolate Brownies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. cocoa, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 2/3 c. butter or margarine, divided, 1/2 c. boiling water and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In a large bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda.
Blend in 1/3 cup melted butter.
Add boiling water.
Stir until well blended. Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining butter.
Add flour, vanilla and salt.
Stir in nuts and chocolate pieces.
Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen. Can be iced or powdered.
