Sauerbraten Steak
Sauerbraten Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. round steak (1/2 inch thick), 1 envelope gravy mix, 1 tbsp. instant onions, 1 tbsp. brown sugar and 2 tbsp. wine vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cut meat in 1-inch squares.
Brown meat.
After cooking completely, remove from skillet.
Add gravy mix and 2 c.
Water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Stir in next 6 ingredients, plus salt and pepper.
Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Add meat. Cover and bake at 350Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
Remove bay leaf before serving over hot noodles.
