Sangria
Sangria is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 2 c. water, 1 orange, thinly sliced, 1 lime, thinly sliced and 1/5 bottle red or white wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine sugar and water in saucepan.
Heat, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.
Bring to boil.
Add sliced fruit to hot syrup and marinate at least 4 hours before using.
When ready to serve, put about 12 ice cubes in a tall glass pitcher; add marinated fruit (reserving 2 slices of fruit for each glass) and 1/2 cup of the syrup, then add wine and carbonated water.
Place 2 slices fruit in each glass and fill glasses from pitcher.
Makes 8 servings.
