Cream butter and sugar well; add vanilla.
Add the sifted flour and salt gradually.
Add the nuts.
Form into 1-inch balls. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350Β° for 15 to 20 minutes. While hot, roll the cookies in powdered sugar.
Roll in sugar again.
