Pierogi Casserole
Pierogi Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked, 1 lb. american cheese (may use 1/2 american and 1/2 cooper sharp), 5 to 6 medium potatoes, cooked and mashed, 1/2 lb. margarine and 1/2 lb. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Saute onions with butter and margarine.
Put 1/2 into bottom of dish.
Layer macaroni, cheese and potatoes (2 layers).
Top with rest of onion mix.
