Peppers Roasted is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. peppers, 1/2 c. crisco oil (liquid), oregano, to taste, garlic salt, to taste and salt and pepper, to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Let most peppers turn red in garden, can use green too.

Pick peppers and place on grill.

Let cook until done.

Take pepper off grill.

Put in roaster with lid to keep warm.

Take out and let cool.

Peel off skin and split into 3 or 4 slices.

Pack into canning jars.

No water, they make their own juice.

Cold pack in roaster filled in water over jars.

Let cook 15 minutes or so once water and peppers start to boil.

Rinse peppers and strain (checking for skins).

Mix mixture over peppers.

Stir; taste. Keep in fridge.
