Original Fruit Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. pineapple juice, 1/2 c. tapioca, a little sugar, 1 1/2 c. orange juice and 12 oz. can apricot nectar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cook the first 3 ingredients until tapioca is thick and clear. Cool.
Make thick enough so other juices can be added.
Adjust to your taste.
This makes the "base."
Base keeps 1 week in refrigerator.
When chilled, add fresh or frozen strawberries, peaches, pineapple, fresh pears, melons, etc.
Add bananas near serving time.
Bananas and pears give a mellow flavor.
